A different way to meet someone new
Omegle connected strangers at random and closed in November 2023, as reported by the Associated Press. Yabs is a separate service with its own accounts, community rules and game world.
Instead of entering a random call queue, you create an avatar and walk through a shared city. Meet people around the fountain, browse the mall together or sit in the park. A conversation can start with an activity or an outfit, and it can continue through friends and private messages when you return.
Text, voice and video options

You do not need a webcam to meet people in Yabs. Start with your avatar and text, or choose voice without video. Private calls also include a text chat box.
Start a conversation in four steps
- Create a Yabs account and choose your character’s look.
- Verify your email to unlock text, voice and video chat.
- Walk near other players and say hello in Nearby chat, or open a player’s profile to see the available interactions.
- If you both want a call, send a voice or video invitation and wait for acceptance. Your browser will request device access when needed.
If a player is already in a call, Yabs tells you they are busy. You can decline an invitation, end a call or continue exploring. See the chat and friends guide for the controls.
Accounts, privacy and boundaries
Yabs requires an account and email verification for communication. It is not a no-signup or anonymous video chat service. Email verification checks access to an email address; it does not establish a player’s age or identity or guarantee another person’s behavior.
Use the ignore and report options on player profiles when needed, and control your microphone and camera in the game and browser. Read the community rules and privacy page before sharing information. For account or moderation help, contact Yabs support.
Have something to do together
A shared activity can make a first conversation easier. Challenge someone to a timed lap, watch a fashion event, browse pet displays or find a seat by the plaza. You can keep exploring when you do not feel like talking.
