THE YABS GUIDE

Community rules

Clear boundaries for sharing a world. Know what’s expected, how to get help, and what happens when rules are broken.

A good world starts with how we treat each other.

Yabs is a place to meet people, create a look, collect things, and play together. These rules apply to every player and to everything shared through Yabs: nearby, private, group, and in-call messages; proximity voice; video calls; names, profiles, photos, groups, billboard ads, trades, and activities.

Private conversations follow the same rules as public spaces. A joke, roleplay, altered spelling, another language, or an AI-generated image does not make harmful behavior acceptable. Buying Yabits or advertising does not create an exception.

Respect people and their boundaries

  • No harassment, bullying, stalking, intimidation, blackmail, or coordinated targeting. Do not humiliate someone over their appearance or keep contacting or following them after they ask you to stop.
  • No slurs, dehumanizing attacks, or discriminatory abuse based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
  • Respect declined friend, trade, and call requests. Do not use another account or ask friends to get around someone’s Ignore choice.

Friendly competition, disagreement, and good-faith criticism are welcome. Keep them about the game or the issue rather than attacking a person.

Keep sexual content out of Yabs

Do not share nudity, pornography, sexual acts, explicit sexual messages or audio, sexual roleplay, or links promoting that content. This includes camera feeds, profile pictures, edited images, and billboard ads.

Do not request intimate photos, offer sexual services, expose yourself on camera, or pressure anyone into sexual conversation. Consent to a call, friendship, gift, or trade is never consent to sexual content or contact.

Protect children and young people

Text chat is for ages 13 and over. Voice and video, including nearby voice, are for ages 18 and over. Enter your date of birth truthfully when asked. Declared ages determine ordinary communication access. An administrator may require an age review; reviews are not automatically requested. While that review is required or pending, the account cannot send text or use ordinary voice or video. A player reviewed as 13–17 can use text only; a player reviewed as 18 or over can use all three, subject to email verification and other account restrictions.

If a review is required, request it through the in-game age verification panel. The review is a dedicated live camera call with an administrator, separate from ordinary calls. Follow the privacy instructions in that panel and do not upload or send identity documents in chat. Do not misrepresent your age or use another account to evade an age restriction.

Grooming, sexual exploitation, and sexualization of anyone under 18 are prohibited. This includes requests for sexual images, sexual conversations with minors, sexual extortion, and sexual depictions of minors, including fictional, edited, or AI-generated depictions.

Adults must not pursue sexual or romantic contact with minors. Do not use gifts, Yabits, threats, secrecy, or invitations to another service to manipulate or isolate a young person.

If you encounter suspected exploitation, report the account or message and where it appeared. Do not download, copy, or resend illegal sexual images, including to support. Young people who feel pressured should stop the conversation and speak with a trusted adult.

No threats or dangerous content

  • Do not threaten real-world harm, encourage violence, make false emergency reports against someone, or recruit or raise funds for violent extremist groups.
  • Do not share graphic injury, gore, torture, animal abuse, or content celebrating real-world victims’ suffering.
  • Do not encourage suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, or dangerous real-world challenges, or provide instructions intended to help someone carry them out.
  • Do not sell, arrange, or advertise illegal goods, weapons, controlled drugs, alcohol, tobacco or vaping products, gambling services, or sexual services through Yabs.

People may talk respectfully about difficult experiences or seek support. Do not shame them or encourage harm. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services; Yabs reports and support email are not emergency services.

Protect privacy

Do not publish, threaten to reveal, or help others find someone’s private information. This includes their home address, school, workplace, phone number, private email, precise location, financial details, or private conversations shared to expose or harass them.

Do not pressure people to give their real name, personal contact details, photos, or location. Keep your own passwords, verification codes, payment details, and sensitive information out of chats and camera views.

Public profiles and email-verification badges are not identity or age checks. A verified badge confirms control of an email address; it does not guarantee that a player is trustworthy. See Privacy for how Yabs handles information.

Use voice and video considerately

  • Let people choose whether to answer, speak, turn on a camera, or leave. Do not repeatedly call someone who declined or ended a conversation.
  • Keep your camera feed and anything audible or visible around you within these rules. Do not deliberately broadcast sexual material, abuse, or shocking content.
  • Keep volume reasonable. Do not disrupt nearby conversations with repeated screaming, soundboards, feedback, or loud audio.
  • Get permission from everyone involved before recording, livestreaming, or publicly sharing images, audio, or video from a call. Stop if someone withdraws permission.

Use End call, mute controls, or Ignore player when you need space. The ability to hear or see another player is not permission to record them. You do not need anyone’s permission to report abuse; use the reporting tools and provide accurate context.

Keep accounts secure and be honest about who you are

Do not steal accounts, ask for login codes, send fake sign-in links, distribute malware, or trick someone into sharing their screen or credentials. Keep control of your own account; do not sell it, lend it to evade a restriction, or use someone else’s account without permission.

Do not impersonate another player, a moderator, an administrator, or Yabs support to mislead people. Do not fake badges, payment receipts, moderator messages, or evidence. Yabs support will not ask for your password or email verification code.

Trade fairly and use Yabits honestly

  • Use the game’s trading tools for inventory items and its checkout for purchases. Check the other player, each item, and the current offer before accepting.
  • No fake giveaways, misleading item offers, payment impersonation, “doubling” schemes, or promises that require someone to hand over items first and trust you to pay later.
  • Do not buy or sell accounts, Yabits, or game items for real money outside Yabs’s authorized purchase features. Do not demand personal information, images, or off-platform payments to complete a trade.
  • Do not run player-organized gambling, betting, paid-entry lotteries, or staking schemes using money, Yabits, or items.
  • Use only payment methods you are authorized to use. Do not make dishonest purchase, refund, or payment-dispute claims.

Yabits and items are virtual game content. Yabs does not offer a player cash-out service. For a genuine purchase problem or disputed trade, contact Support with the relevant details. Reporting a problem does not guarantee that an item or payment can be restored; legitimate billing disputes may still be raised through your payment provider.

Play fairly and protect the service

Do not use cheats, unauthorized automation, modified clients, or exploits to duplicate items or Yabits, manipulate races or leaderboards, farm rewards, evade limits, or gain an unfair advantage. Do not knowingly help others use an exploit or move exploited items between accounts.

Do not attack, overload, probe for unauthorized access to, or interfere with Yabs, other accounts, or other players’ devices. Do not share tools intended to crash the game, steal sessions, or bypass protections.

If you find a bug that affects balances, items, privacy, or security, stop using it and report it privately to help@yabs.com. Include enough detail to investigate without posting an exploit or other players’ private information publicly.

Share the world without spamming it

Do not flood chat, repeatedly send unwanted invites or requests, raid groups, or coordinate disruption of conversations and activities. Keep usernames, display names, group names, and descriptions within these rules. Group creators and members must not use groups to organize harassment, scams, or rule-breaking.

Invite people who actually want to join. Do not spam referral links, use fake or duplicate accounts, mislead people about rewards, or coordinate signups to farm referral bonuses. Use the current offer shown in Share & invite and the Terms for reward details.

Do not evade mutes, kicks, bans, Ignore controls, or other restrictions using another account, device, or network. Do not use coded language or altered images to hide prohibited content from moderation.

Upload and advertise responsibly

Use photos, artwork, logos, and other material you own or have permission to use. Respect other people’s privacy and intellectual property. Do not upload stolen content, deceptive impersonations, or images designed to expose, humiliate, or sexually depict another person.

Billboard images and any linked destination must follow these rules. Ads must be honest about the offer and advertiser; no phishing, fake prizes, misleading payment claims, or promotion of prohibited goods or services. Do not disguise an ad as a Yabs warning or pretend it is an official endorsement.

Paying for a billboard does not exempt its content from moderation. Rule-breaking ads may be hidden. Booking, renewal, and billing details are covered in the Terms; contact Support for a payment or rights-related concern.

Report a problem

  1. Take control of the interaction. End a call, mute audio, or open the player’s profile and choose Ignore player if you need to stop contact.
  2. Report the relevant player or message. Choose Report player on their profile or in call controls. For a chat message, right-click it on desktop or press and hold it on mobile, then choose Report message.
  3. Give accurate context. Select the closest reason and explain what happened. Include the username, where it occurred, and approximate date and time with your timezone. When you report a message, Yabs can attach the available message context.
  4. Use support when needed. If you cannot access the game or need to report a security, payment, privacy, or urgent safety concern, email help@yabs.com. For immediate danger, use local emergency services.

Make reports in good faith. Do not fabricate evidence, organize false-report campaigns, or retaliate against someone for reporting. An honest report that does not result in action is not itself a rule violation.

Do not send passwords, verification codes, full payment details, or illegal sexual imagery. Reports are reviewed using available evidence; Yabs does not promise immediate review or a recording of a voice or video call.

How rules are enforced

Moderation considers the behavior, its context and severity, its effect on others, and relevant account history. Depending on the situation, actions can include:

Content or feature restrictions
Removing messages or groups, hiding ads, or limiting text chat, voice, or video temporarily or permanently.
Removal from the world
A kick with a re-entry wait and rules acknowledgement, or a temporary account ban.
Permanent restrictions
A permanent account or IP ban for serious or repeated violations, including attempts to evade enforcement.

Serious harm can lead to immediate restrictions without a prior warning. Follow staff instructions intended to stop disruption or protect players; you may still ask questions, give good-faith feedback, or appeal a decision.

Automated text checks can flag messages, and report patterns can trigger temporary protective restrictions. A report or automated flag is not proof on its own. Staff may review available messages and account information as described in Privacy. These tools do not guarantee that every harmful interaction will be detected.

Appeals and questions

If you believe a moderation decision was mistaken, email help@yabs.com from your account’s email address when possible. Include your username, the action and approximate time, and a clear explanation of what you want reviewed. Report concerns about a staff member through the same channel.

Explain missing context honestly. Do not evade an active restriction or pressure other players while waiting for a response. Reviews may uphold, change, or remove an action; neither a particular outcome nor a response time is guaranteed.

These rules work alongside the Terms of use and Privacy page. Check this page for updates as Yabs grows. For other questions, visit Support.
