Visit Paws & Company
Use the world map to find the pet shop, then walk inside to see its animal displays. The building is a place to browse in person: approach the relevant display to look at a pet and its current price. You can see animals moving around the shop before deciding which one you want.
The pet collection includes different breeds and looks. Browse what is available in the game, whether you are looking for a black-and-white cat, a dog or a rabbit. Nearby animals make occasional sounds, adding to the feeling of visiting a lively pet shop.
Buy a pet with Yabits
Pets are optional purchases using Yabits, Yabs’s virtual currency. Check the price and your wallet balance before confirming a purchase. The current in-game listing is the source for prices; pets can cost more than clothing and smaller accessories.
A purchased pet is an inventory item. Make room in your 30-slot backpack before adding to your collection. If you are carrying things you are not using, visit the banker to store them.
Bring a companion along
Open your inventory and choose an owned pet to have it follow you. It walks with your character around the world, so you can bring company to the plaza or on a trip through the park. Your pet is part of your in-game collection, separate from your profile picture or character appearance.
You can keep more than one pet in your collection and change which companion you bring out. Visit the avatar and outfit guide to put together a look for your next walk together.
Try the Pawprint Derby
The Pawprint Derby is a group pet race. Equip a pet before joining and bring another player with a pet to start a heat. The event supports two to eight players, with all breeds having equal chances. Each heat varies, so the most expensive pet does not buy a guaranteed win.
There are no entry fees or wagers for the Derby. It is a way to enjoy your companion with other players. Find it alongside the other options in the activities guide.
Explore at your own pace
You do not need to buy a pet to play Yabs or explore its shops. Look around, meet friends and decide what you want to save for. If you are new, start with your first day in Yabs for movement, account and map help.
